The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is a refresh of one of the most popular budget phones on the market. This new version comes with several updates and improvements compared to its predecessor.
One of the most notable changes is the new camera design, which features each camera housed in its own enclosure. This gives the phone a more modern and premium look. The A54 5G also features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 1080p Full HD resolution and a 120Hz fast refresh rate. However, it lacks an adaptive refresh rate, which is a feature found in the premium S series phones. One downside of the display is the large borders around the screen, which may not be aesthetically pleasing to some.

The A54 5G comes equipped with a Samsung Exynos 1380 processor and a 5,100mAh battery with 25W charging. The base model has a 6/128GB configuration, but there’s also a more powerful version with 8/256GB of storage. Additionally, the phone has a microSD card slot and an IP67 water and dust resistance rating.
While the mid-frame of the phone is still made out of plastic, Samsung has switched to a glass back from the cheaper-feeling plastic used in the previous generation of the Galaxy A series. The front and back glass panels are also flat.
